Hi, I’m Madison and I’m so glad you’re here! Growing up, I always believed that whatever you did with your life, it should make a difference in others’ lives. I never knew what that looked like for my life until I coordinated my first wedding in 2016 and I saw the difference I could make. I could take away the wedding day stress from the bride, groom, and their families. It didn’t take long for me to know this was my calling and my love for it has grown every day.
My journey started when I was a fresh college graduate with a Communication degree. I thought wedding planning sounded like so much fun so I took a risk and got a part time job at White Oak Estate and Gardens as a wedding coordinator. During my time at White Oak, I also held titles such as Community Relations Manager, planning and coordinating Chef John Folse’s personal and charity events, and Head Event Coordinator, in charge of hiring, training and leading the part-time coordinators. Working for Chef Folse allowed me many once in a lifetime opportunities to work with big names and big organizations.
In 2019 I was offered the job of Head Event Coordinator at Parc 73 in Prairieville and Oak Lodge in Baton Rouge. The 2 venues are owned by the same family but both have very different aesthetics. As Head Event Coordinator, I was in charge of the planning, execution and design of all weddings and social events. Both venues provided a plethora of décor to their clients so I was able to explore my creative freedom and style some beautiful weddings!
In 2021, I joined the Renaissance Baton Rouge Hotel team as their Catering & Events Sales Manager. This was a new role for me as I spent my time actually booking the weddings and social events. I would then work with the clients and vendors to help bring the wedding vision to life. Since I worked so closely with the other vendors during my time at the hotel, it gave me the opportunity to understand their processes and procedures beyond just the venue or the “day of” part of wedding planning.
In between these 7 years, I have coordinated and helped plan many weddings for friends and family while holding my full time jobs. I even spent time working with a photography studio and event décor company to further expand my wedding and event knowledge.
In April 2023, I decided to take all of the lessons, experiences and connections I’ve gained over the past years and launch my planning and coordinating business full-time. This has allowed me to focus 100% on my brides and grooms to help them through this crazy and overwhelming process. Not long after launching Madison Renee Weddings, I became a bride myself. Planning my own wedding has given me a completely new insight to what brides and grooms are feeling and thinking while planning their wedding. It’s also allowed me the chance to continue improving and growing in my techniques that I use with my clients.
My purpose is to help you break down the planning process into smaller bites and help guide you along the way offering my recommendations, advice and support. And on the big day, I’ll take all of those tiny details and make sure the day is executed perfectly while you and your loved ones can be fully present in every moment. This day only happens once, you should get to enjoy every moment of your hard work!
I look forward to not only working with you but building a relationship together to make this process more enjoyable so you can look back fondly on this experience!
